Hi Barbara and Erin,
I has been just over 4 years since I have adopted Big Apple Sky from you aka Apple. I have to say he is one of the most fun uncomplicated horses I have ever ridden. He is going to be 7 yrs old next month. The time has gone by like a flash. I remember when he was a scrawny 2 yr old just off the track and just gelded. He has a playful side, but also just an amazing temperment. He's nosey, curious, and loves to be the center of attention. I have completely spoiled him rotten! He has bonded with my oldest horse who is 23 yrs old. Every one at the barn calls them the bopsy twins. They are both bay, they both have matching blankets. From behind you cannot tell them apart since they both have white socks. Since I am nuts and have three ottb, they all go out together and boy do they play and have a good time. They have been dubbed the 'three amigos" by everyone at the barn. I get "you know the amigos do play out in the field" a lot. I must say you can take the horse off the track, but that love for racing each other freely in the field never leaves. And then again there is the occasional blanket tag when they are bored. My niece is 9 years old and just started taking lessons on a lesson horse in the middle of Nov 2012. As of a week ago, she is riding Apple. I have attached a couple of pictures of them. Sorry they are a bit grainy, but I was riding my other horse and he just wasn't cooperating while I was snapping the shots. Apple is mainly going to show hunter in hand, hunter under saddle, and english pleasure this year. On the farm though, he has dabbled into some trail riding and just likes a hack around the paddocks now and again. Thank you so much for such a wonderful horse. I can only hope that whenever I am looking for another one, you can match me up with "another apple".
